Simon Says Stamp and Show

Over at Simon Says Stamp and show the challenge this week is Show Us Your Grunge
I had a few ideas in my head but went to craft class today and we were playing with the ultra thick embossing powder and i just fell in love with it- I knew there was something missing from my crafting life and this is it
made a collage and then using the embossing powder about four times on it and what a sheen from it- then used the red powder on the swirl and then stamped in gold before it cooled down and I was super impressed with the results so I came home with a tub of the clear and the bronze so be prepared to be to see at lot more of this in the future
Have a few order to do so going to play tomorrow with it- guess what I'll be dreaming about tonight!

Penny Black Challenge

This is the sketch at Penny Black this week and for some reason I have went into Christmas overdrive having stamped and coloured and mounted a whole load of Chrismtas images so I thought I should them up

The papers I have used are Funky Hand and the image is of course Penny Black
Bit of a wet miserable day here but that suits me being wholed up in the back room crafting- but thanks goodness I cut the grass yesterday cause it certainly wouldn't be getting done today
Bud is now in here moaning- seems to want his dinner earlier and earlier these days so I suppose I better go and feed them or her will just stare and cry until I do... laters

Tuesday, 21 September 2010

The challenge this week at Pollycrafts is cute and cuddly so I used Bridget Thanks image for my card
Can't remember where the papers came from had them that long- found them in the museum but think they might be Anna Griffen
Managed to get the grass cut today in between the showers so that was a good job done leaving me plenty of crafting time for tomorrow and got the rest of my holiday washing done and the car hoovered out- it's amazing how sand gets everywhere
Off now to get some DT work done and then that should just leave a couple of cards for tomorrow that I have to do for people at work

On Holiday

Good afternoon- been missing in action for a week- away my hols, so thought I would share some of the snaps with you
It was a lodge between Sandhead and Portpatrick in the Rhins of Galloway
The first snap is of Portpatrick

The next one if Mull of Galloway, which is the southerly most point of Scotland and it was very windy and wild with cows and bulls passing infront of you in the car and it had a lovely tea room

This is Misty on the beach at Sandhead

Misty on the sand at Portpatrick and she was not responsible for the can of coke beside her

This is Bud at Port Logan , this is where the programme Two Thousand Acres of Skye was filmed- never watched it though

Another view of Portpatrick

Misty again at Portpatrick

Bud having a well earned rest with his head on the table- must be hoping for something to eat

Have made a bit of a mess in my craft room trying to tidy up so could be at it for a while but hopefully back tomorrow with some makes
Have a great Sunday

The next photos is mum and me today going to my 25 year service lunch with the Council- had a nice lunch, got given a watch and they gave me the day off for it- what more can a gal ask for- as you notice I am wearing vintage Next- the shirt has only been only twice but is a couple of years old as is the skirt but first time on for it- it cost £1 in the Next sale two year ago!Wish I could smile better in a photo I always look like a crazy person in photos

This month it's set by the lovely Kathy who has chose FLOWERS WITH DIMENSION

I used papers from the Colour Me Happy CD to create my flower using the tattered florals die and quick kutz swirl die

I love flowers on cards so cant wait to see what you all create- just remember the one simple rule of using at least one Funky Hand product on your creation to be in with the chance to win the wonderful £20 voucher for Funky Hand
