Charisma Cardz

The challenge at Charisma Cardz this week is going DOTTY

and for this I used one of my all time favourite Funky Hand dotty papers from the Now That's funky CD on yet another circular card

I attached a flower and a Happy Birthday sentiment, which also has dots on it, three bits of card candy and a Forever Friends image, and added dots to the ribbon on his parcel
So I think I am well and truly covered for the dotty theme
Will probably be missing most of the weekend as it is my club's Agility show so i am off now to bed and up early for a busy busy weekend
Hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are up to

Cute Card Thursday

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday this week is Bling
Looking at the photo it is quite hard to see some of the bling but there are black blingy jewels round the card going onto the paper and I think they are a bit lost in the photo so hopefully the little jewel in the middle of the flowers will make up for it

Basic Grey Challenge

The challenge at Basic Grey this week is Doodling and anyone that knows me knows I like my doodling

Again I used the archaic range of paper and chipboard shapes and doodled on the paper and round the card
Having a really busy week this week and feel like i don't know if i am coming or going and not really made any cards either, which is awful and have a busy weekend with dog shows planned too but hopefully things will calm down a bit after that

Cuttlebug Challenge #33

The challenge this week over at the Cuttlebug Challenge is Monogram

It might be quite hard to see on the card but I used the distressed stripes folder on the bottom half of the card.

The stamp is by Paper Artsy which I used distressed inks on and the little journalling tag is by Elles Studios who is our sponsor this week.

The monogram is a wax seal and it is the letter Y

I hear you say- but is not straight, it is facing sideways..... and i do realise that but have never used a wax seal before so I gave it a trial run and set the blooming thing on fire.... then I thought lets go for it on the card..... and I was so busy trying to get my pool of wax right and not set it on fire I never paid attention to which way up the stamp was!!! oh dear.. the result... a sideways Y monogram..... but I do think it looks very effective all the same.

The gaffer tape is 7gypsies.

Looking forward to visiting to see all your Monogram projects

I found this scrap of ribbon and thought I would make a card using that and this is what I came up with

Daisy & Dandelion

At the Daisy and Dandelion challenge blog this week the challenge is a sketch

Papers are by K & Co. and the sentiment says Girls Rock
I would also like to say a big Thank You to my lovely Funky Hand team mate Ruth.
Was at a Dog Show today but we gave up and came home early cause the rain was torrential- so after I wrung my knickers out I checked my mail and there was a lovely little package from Ruth with stamped images, bits and bobs and some chocolate animals(which are no longer... there are gone!) so a HUGE big thank you to Ruth for that- it brightened up my miserable day

2 Sketches 4 You

Just had to make timethis week to do this challenge as I have been so busy I have neglected it for a few weeks and this is my take on the sketch

I flipped it and made it a long card and used again the stuff my bath bombs were wrapped in.

I stamped onto a large bloom, added leaf ribbon and a red flower centre and three of the red flowers along the bottom- you have to excuse my description just now as i feel a bit brain dead- had a leaking pipe at my washing machine this morning which took forever to locate and lots of mopping up then had to leave my parents to finish the cleaning for me and I have spent a long day at training with my work and I think I need a lie down!

Oh and look I've not even put the sketch in!- will come back and add it later
now added the sketch

The Pink Elephant

The challenge this week at The Pink Elephant is Scallops and Circles

And for this I used a scalloped card, and then used my nesties to cut a scalloped circle and then punched out a circle to fit in the centre

I used my new Stampin up stamp for the image and sentiment and cut a circular shape out of the side so it slotted into the ribbon and bow

i have been so busy i haven't managed to take part in this challenge for a couple of weeks so made an effort today to make sure I did it

Exciting News

Anice at Funky Hand has put a call out for another DT member to join the team
You can find the details at
and you have until the 11th of May to apply- if you think you could cope with us mad lot then apply right away and Good Luck to everyone

Happy Monday

Happy HOLIDAY Monday- no cards to share at the moment but maybe later.
Had a busy weekend, my clubs Dog Show on Saturday and it was a long and tiring day and I was in my bed about 9.45 on Saturday night exhausted.
Sunday I spent on the couch watching craft day at QVC with exception of when I went to cut the grass but the rain came chucking it down and I got all packed up and in the house and it went of- so I thought... stuff that I'm not going back out
Bud's birthday today..... Happy Birthday to you Bud.... that's him 12 today and he got a pink toy for his birthday..... why? because he seems to be in touch with his feminine side... he keeps stealing Misty's pink toys and looked very strange a t Christmas running about with a pink handbag toy so I thought I would get him his own pink toy and he seems quite delighted.
I am off now round to Sue's to have a crafty afternoon so might have something to share later- that's if we actually stop blethering and drinking coffee long enough to make something.
Have a good holiday Monday whatever you are up to

Cuttlebug Spa Weekend, Relax, Rejuvenate, Be Inspired

Welcome to our weekend of relaxation and inspiration- hope you've got plenty of coffee ready and wine for later on so settle down and enjoy the fun.

You should have arrived here from Jenn K's blog and be well on your way to collecting all the flowers.

Tell me how you relax- what do you do to destress and chill?

Me .....I have a few things I do depending on what I am relaxing from.

Sometimes I like nothing better than to disappear into my own little world with my dogs- be it training with them, or just a long walk in the woods or along a beach or even just to snuggle into them and realise how much they mean to me and how much I mean to them.

On other occasions I like to loose myself in my crafting and find that soooo relaxing and before you know it the dinner is burning, housework not done again and a pile of chores still waiting to get done!but at least I've had fun!

Other times I like nothing better than a good old pamper to relax- whether its a massage, Indian head massage etc or just a plain old soak in the bath and a nice smelly candle burning and then a little facial, nail file and polish ,feet up, on the couch, good movie and a glass of wine

So let me know what you do to relax

On to my chosen flower which is a PANSY.

I think they are so lovely and are such hardy little plants and often survive freezing conditions.

They are very fragrant and edible and are high in Vitamin A and C and the flowers can be used to make syrup, flavoured honey and salads.

They are also useful a dye and were used by the Greeks as a herbal medicine.

So collect my PANSY and now hop off to the

wonderful Mrs J's blog .......HERE
to continue with your flower search and good luck with the many wonderful prizes that are up for grabs this weekend and don't miss all the wonderful fun and tutorials etc
Thanks for dropping by and see you soon
